All in a day's work for Kiwi Can Bluff/Invercargill!

Tree plantingIn the holidays, our Kiwi Can leaders Emma Gibb and Lachie Morton ventured over to Half Moon Bay School on Stewart Island to plan with the teaching staff the Kiwi Can programme for term 4. The planning session created a blueprint of some exciting things to come.

In the first week of the term, Emma and Lachie, with the assistance of DOC and the 17 students attending Half Moon Bay School, planted native plants along the main street on Stewart Island.  In the afternoon the challenge changed to bike safety and maintenance, with Emma and Lachie setting up an exciting bike circuit in the playground.  The students later moved out to the street for some important cycling road safety lessons.  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and learnt some valuable skills.
