Kiwi Can Auckland Outstanding Leader

Congratulations to Kiwi Can Leader Tamara Elliot who was recently awarded the Outstanding Leader Award from Kiwi Can Auckland for her ongoing commitment.  Tamara has recieved oustanding feedback from the schools she is involved with, always going the extra mile including taking on-board extra school curricular activities above and beyond what she is responsible for.  The schools have also reported noticeable positive behavioural changes in their students.

Tamara has also recently been selected to represent the New Zealand Oceania Women's Touch Team.

Park Lane Art Awards

Kiwi Can staff at the Art AuctionThe Auckland Kiwi Can Charitable Trust was recently the recipient and beneficiary of an incredible gesture by trustee, Callum Baker's company, Parklane Group. Parklane arranged an evening of art in which pieces where auctioned and the proceeds of the night went to Kiwi Can.

We are incredibly grateful to Callum and his able assistant Ann Collier for having the vision, courage and generosity to put on such an event and provide Kiwi Can with $35,000 as a result.

There were also a myriad of unsung heroes that are involved in such an event and they need to be publicly acknowledged:

  • Michael Williams, auctioneer extraordinaire from Barfoot & Thompson extracted great bidding from an enthusiastic crowd.
  • Andy Gray, a fantastic MC who kept the evening rolling and moving.
  • Kim Crawford Wines Limited for their very generous offer of their award-winning wine that was served on the evening
  • Joshua Bing from BDO Spicers and Vicky Williams for their able receipting and accounting work.
  • Owen Williams, Alex and Jeremy Gray, Desley Simpson ( Kiwi Can Trustee), Stacey Zencic, Tony Bacalich and Paul Jacobsen for being spotters and art carriers.
  • Vince Gooding of SportMedia for the video presentation which involved hours of filming and editing.
  • Cameron Dargaville, Kiwi Can Trustee for arranging spot prizes.
  • Tania Bennett, Personal Assistant at Knight Coldicutt McMahon Butterworth for all her background work and help.
  • Elliot Knight for taking the photos.
  • Structured Finance (NZ) Limited, Mayfair Group, Grayway Construction Limited and Short & Partners for their generous support and sponsorship of the evening.
  • Kiwi Can leaders for their support and attendance at the evening.

All of these people generously give their time, money and services to the Auckland Kiwi Can Chartiable Trust. We are incredibly grateful as the more people that take part in the Kiwi Can journey, the better our country will be for it.

Thank you to all involved for a tremendous evening and to those guests and bidders at the auction for your support.
